Kaplisah temple is around 60 k.m away from Ansupa and is present at a height of 2239 feet from sea level. There are 1352 steps staircase to reach the top, one can climb these steps or take a zig zag road to driv to the top.

This temple was built by king Narasinghdeva I of Ganga Dynasty for lord shiva in CE 1246 that is 771 years ago. Tradition describes it as the ashram of Kapila, to some scholars it is the second Kailash of Lord Shiva. Shridhar Swami who wrote commentary on Bhagavata Purana stayed there. There are some monasteries in the premises.
